Some website modules include image upload fields. These may be used for areas such as team members, galleries, portfolio items, news posts, banners or other editable sections, depending on how your website has been built.
Before Uploading An Image
- Use a clear, good quality image.
- Avoid blurry, dark or heavily compressed images.
- Make sure you have permission to use the image on your website.
- Use a sensible file name where possible, such as team-photo.jpg rather than IMG_1234.jpg.
Uploading Images
- Log in to the CMS.
- Open the relevant module or section.
- Choose the image upload or replace option if one is available.
- Select the image file from your computer.
- Save the item and check the live website.
Image Shape And Cropping
Some image areas are automatically cropped to fit the website design. If an image does not crop well, send the original image to us and we can advise on the best size or layout.
If You Cannot Find An Image Field
Not every image on the website can be changed through the CMS. If you cannot find the image you need to update, email changes@easywebsites.co.uk with the page address and the image you would like replaced.
